|
Author: Helen Thompson Date Created: 01 Dec 2003 The VURRN.com website has been established with the financial support of both the Centre for Regional and Rural Development at RMIT Hamilton and the Centre for Regional Innovation and Competitiveness at University of Ballarat. The site has been developed and is hosted by the Centre for Electronic Commerce and Communications at the University of Ballarat. The VURRN. Com website contains both public and member areas with different communication tools and services in each. CECC is also in the process of setting up a ‘Projekt’ system for VURRN to support network communications and collaboration between groups of members on particular initiatives. Your input will assist us in further enhancing the VURRN.com website over the coming months. What do VURRN members need to do? 1. Join the VURRN.com member area by filling out a short survey at http://www.vurrn.com/members/join.php. 2. Register for the discussion board in both the public and member areas and contribute to online discussion about regional issues. 3. Provide information on upcoming events, news, useful links etc. to the representative in your Centre nominated to have publishing information or through the ‘suggest an event’, ‘suggest a news story’ etc. links on the VURRN.com site. 4. Provide suggestions about how the site can be further enhanced. What do VURRN Centre members need to do? 1. Nominate and provide contact details for the person who will have publishing rights to VURRN.com including the content management system and resource manager. 2.
